Formula 1 Paint repair in Leicester

Formula 1 Paint repair in Leicester, well not quite. I was asked to do a job for Alliance and Leicester yesterday, one of my regular Customers. The time I was asked to call matched that of a certain Lewis Hamilton Formula 1 World Champion. Unfortunatley I did not see the man himself, but did manage to take some pictures of his car which was parked outside the building. If you would like full size pics ( 3+ Mb each) then drop me a mail and I will try and help.

Well done Lewis, from a big fan.

Peter

Silver S Class Paint Repair in Leicester

Silver S Class Paint Repair in Leicester by Peter at ChipsAway (PDS) Ltd. Carried out on the Leicester Uni campus (thanks to all who helped me find an area to work) Peter had to repair two small damaged areas on a silver S Class Mercedes. If you want your car to look its best then sometimes it doesn’t matter how small the damage, it just has to be fixed.

Leicester Sound paint repair by Peter

Leicester Sound paint repair by Peter. It’s always nice to go and work on any of the cars at Leicester Sound -http://www.leicestersound.co.uk/ – as the people who work there are so nice. The Prius had been caught on both ends of the rear bumper and Peter was able to repair the paint and improve a few other little marks while on site. Peter never minds doing just a littlebit morefor nice Customers. So if you are nice to Peter (Tea, spot of milk, no sugar) he will be nice to you.

What nice people

What nice people they have at Leicester Sound. Peter was round there today doing a paint repair on a couple of cars and without fail all the people who popped out for a sandwich, a smoke or just to head off home at the end of an early morning shift, yes that was Robin, Michelle Mary Mustard and Naomi, all said hello.

It is always a pleasure to work round at ‘the Sound’

Moot, hope you made that call.

Peter x

Audi TT Paintwork repair LE2 | Leicester

Audi TT Paintwork repair LE2 | Leicester. When it happened the first time Mike let it go, even though he hated having a scuff on his nice Light Silver Audi TT. When it happened the second time he knew he had to get the bumper scuffs sorted and he called Peter at ChipsAway (PDS) Ltd. As a general rule the second area of damage is half price, so for £180 + VAT both ends of the car were brought back to ‘as new’ in a morning despite the january weather. If you have ever come back to your car and found someone has removed some of your paintwork, perhaps the easiest and usually cheapest solution will be to call Peter and let him provide a free quote to carry out the work at your home or at work.

Rav4 paint repair in Leicester

Rav4 paint repair in Leicester. The spare wheel cover of this ’53′ plate Rav4 was damaged in the works car park and the repair was paid forby the driver who damaged the car. Colour matching the pearl blue paintwork was just part of Peter’s day, so after preparing the area the paint was added and then 2 coats of the ChipsAway lacquer to produce a high gloss finish to match the rest of the vehicle.

Bags and Briefcases

Bags and Briefcases – Never and I mean Never use the boot, bonnet or roof as a resting place for a bag or briefcase. One day it will be slid over the paint and that day will be the day there is a few pieces of grit on the base (or there are metal studs or buckles) and then you have a nice collection of scratches that need attention.

Washing up liquid

Ordinary washing up liquid is NOT a good substitute for a proper car wash or wash and wax product. Most of them have all sorts of additives to keep your hands soft and these end up as a thin film over your paintwork and stop you getting a good shine. If there is nothing else then get yourself a bottle of the “Basics” liquid from any big supermarket. The reason it is about 15p for a litre bottle is they put very little in it, so it has less to reduce the shine, it is also great for cleaning alloy wheels.

Car Keyed in Leicester

Car Keyed in Leicester. An unwanted Boxing Day gift for Steve was to wake up to find his Mini Cooper S had been ‘keyed’ by some mindless reveller. Both the drivers door and rear quarter panel had been damaged and rather than go to a body shop who wanted ‘a lot’ to re-spray the whole side. Peter was able to ‘improve’ the damage to such an extent that at normal viewing distance the repair was invisible. See for yourself in the pictures above.
