Just had an excellent visit from Peter, where he advised me on a scratch on my car bonnet. The way he advised me was straight-forward and honest. He even gave me a few tips as well. Would not hesitate to recommend!

Peter, we’re absolutely delighted with the repair to the scratch on the side of our Mazda. Same day service is outstanding, and there’s absolutely no sign of there ever having been any damage.

I think Peter should advise the lady of situation so that she can take early and appropriate action.

I have just been talking to a Customer about this very thing and he suggested only leaving a card where the damage looks as though it has been there a while. That way they will know it was not something Peter had done lol

I wouldn’t have a problem with finding a card, but it would have to be obvious why it was there, so “you’ve got a scratch, we can fix it” sort of thing would be best. Good luck.

The car had two small spots of rust. I knew that it needed tackling straight away. And I knew there was only one guy I would trust. The job really is as good as it looks. I know where the rust was and I can’t see the painted area. As I was at work I left the car at my mum and dad’s. According to my mum “it was a great job and more importantly he was a really nice chap!” Thanks Peter.

There is no doubt that black cars are ‘high maintenance.’ Car makers often use a contrasting primer. They sometimes argue that it is better to see the damage so something can be donetocorrect it before further damage. While this may be helpful on metal panels like the bonnet, plastic panels such as bumpers and increasingly front wings, will not get worse in the short term. The choice is, or should be with the Customer regarding repair and exagerating the effect with contrasting primers and mouldings is not a good idea in my opinion.
